Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Throttlehead LLC ("Throttlehead LLC", "WrapClips", "we", "us", or "our") collects, accesses, uses, stores, shares, protects, retains, and deletes information when you use WrapClips at https://www.wrapclips.com.

WrapClips is a video-clipping and publishing service. Users can submit video links or upload video files, generate short-form clips, edit those clips, and optionally connect third-party publishing accounts such as YouTube, Facebook, or Instagram.

1. Who is responsible for your data

WrapClips is operated by Throttlehead LLC. Questions, privacy requests, Google-data deletion requests, and account-support requests can be sent to support@wrapclips.com or by phone at +1 213-550-2863.

2. Information WrapClips collects

Depending on the features you use, WrapClips may collect or process:

3. Google API and YouTube data — specific disclosure

This section specifically explains WrapClips' access to and use of information received from Google APIs. It applies when you use Google Sign-In and/or choose to connect YouTube to WrapClips.

Google featureData / permission accessedWhy WrapClips uses itWhat WrapClips stores
Google Sign-InYour Google account's basic identity information made available through OpenID Connect, including your Google account identifier, name, and verified email address. To create or sign in to your WrapClips account and associate the Google login with the correct WrapClips customer account. The Google account identifier used for authentication, your name, and your email address.
YouTube connectionThe OAuth scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload. Google describes this scope as permission to manage your YouTube videos. WrapClips uses it specifically to upload videos you choose to publish. To upload a finished WrapClips video to your authenticated YouTube channel, together with the title, description, category, and privacy setting you choose or configure. An encrypted OAuth refresh token needed to maintain the connection, plus the YouTube video ID returned after a successful upload and publishing status/error information needed to show the result in WrapClips.

WrapClips does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Contacts, your Google password, YouTube watch history, subscriptions, comments, analytics, or general read-only access to your YouTube account for the YouTube publishing feature.

4. How WrapClips uses Google user data

Google user data is used only to provide or maintain user-facing WrapClips features that you request. For Google Sign-In, the data is used for authentication and account access. For YouTube, the OAuth authorization is used to upload clips to YouTube only when you choose to publish a clip through WrapClips. WrapClips does not use Google user data for targeted advertising, retargeting, credit decisions, data-broker activities, sale of user data, or training generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.

5. How Google user data is shared or transferred

WrapClips does not sell Google user data. We do not disclose Google user data to advertising networks, data brokers, or information resellers. Google user data may be processed by infrastructure providers that host WrapClips or store its database on our behalf, solely as necessary to operate and secure the service. Data is also sent to Google/YouTube when required to perform the action you requested, such as uploading a video to your YouTube channel. We may disclose information if required by applicable law or valid legal process.

6. Storage and protection of Google user data

WrapClips uses HTTPS for communication with the service and Google APIs. Persistent YouTube refresh tokens are encrypted at rest using authenticated encryption before being stored in the WrapClips database. Access to connected-account credentials is restricted to the application components that require them to perform authorized publishing operations. Customer media stored by WrapClips is kept in private application storage and is delivered using time-limited access where applicable.

7. Retention and deletion of Google user data

Basic Google Sign-In account information is retained while the associated WrapClips account exists because it is used to identify and authenticate that account. A YouTube refresh token is retained while the YouTube connection is active so WrapClips can perform uploads you request without asking you to reconnect before every upload.

You may ask us to delete your stored Google connection credentials or other personal data by emailing support@wrapclips.com. We will delete or de-identify information that is no longer required to provide the service, subject to information we must retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or accounting purposes.

8. Revoking Google access

You can revoke WrapClips' access to your Google account at any time from the Google Account third-party connections page. Revoking access prevents WrapClips from obtaining new access tokens for that authorization. You may also contact us at support@wrapclips.com to request deletion of the stored connection credential.

Revoking WrapClips access does not automatically delete videos that you previously instructed WrapClips to upload to YouTube. Previously published YouTube content is controlled through your YouTube account.

9. Google API Services User Data Policy and Limited Use

WrapClips' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

10. Video and content processing

Videos and links you submit may be downloaded or uploaded, analyzed, transcribed, segmented, reframed, captioned, rendered, and stored as necessary to provide the clipping and editing features you request. If you select a start and end time, WrapClips may process only the selected portion. Generated clips, thumbnails, transcripts, captions, and project metadata may be stored so you can preview, edit, rerender, download, or publish your work.

11. Facebook, Instagram, and other connected services

If you choose to connect another supported publishing platform, WrapClips may receive account or page identifiers, display names, and authorization credentials required to provide the connection. These credentials are used only to perform the connected publishing functionality you request. Your use of those platforms remains subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

12. Payments

Payments are processed by third-party payment processors. WrapClips does not need to store your full payment-card number. We may receive payment-provider customer identifiers, transaction information, subscription status, invoice information, and payment status needed to provide paid access and purchased credits.

13. Service providers

We use service providers for hosting, databases, private object storage, payment processing, authentication, video processing, transcription, artificial-intelligence processing, monitoring, and related infrastructure. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to WrapClips or as otherwise described in their applicable agreements and privacy terms.

14. General data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide WrapClips, maintain security, comply with legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse or fraud. Source media, generated clips, and related project files may be deleted according to service retention settings or when they are no longer needed to provide the requested feature.

15. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, portability of, or restriction of certain personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact support@wrapclips.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

16. International processing

WrapClips and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we use appropriate safeguards.

17. Children

WrapClips is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

18. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when WrapClips features, data practices, legal requirements, or platform requirements change. We will update the effective date at the top of this page when we publish a revised version.
